Elder Care Cottages is Hiring a Caregiver Near Waterford, WI

Caregiver Job description

Elder Care Cottages is a 60 bed CBRF (Community Based Residential Facility) in rural Waterford, WI, which is approx 23 minutes from Waukesha, 33 minutes from Milwaukee (downtown), 25 minutes from I94 and Hwy 20 in Sturtevant. We are looking for caring, reliable, compassionate individuals who are interested in helping our community and residents. We are proud of our clean, quiet, home-like atmosphere.

Details:

  • We are hiring for Full and Part time Caregivers for First and Third shifts (7am-3pm ,11pm-7am) we require you to work every other weekend.
  • Preferred: CBRF or CNA certified, but we will train the right individual
  • Wage: $15.00 - $17.00 based on experience and certifications
  • Other benefits include: flexible schedule, free shift meal, overtime opportunities, $.50 differential for PM (2nd), $1.00 differential for NOC (3rd) shift, &0.50 differential for weekends. All caregivers work every other weekend and a rotating holiday schedule.

Caregiver Job Responsibilities:

  • Activities of Daily Living (ADL's): provide assistance as needed with dressing and undressing, personal hygiene, mobility devices, and devices such as hearing aides and glasses
  • Instrumental Activities of Daily Living: provide assistance as needed with light housekeeping tasks, laundry, mail delivery, telephone
  • Medication Assistance (such as administering resident medication)
  • Health Maintenance and Monitoring Tasks (such as observing changes is residents' mental or physical condition, hourly rounds, monitoring environment for safety hazards)
  • Dining Assistance (such as setting table, monitoring residents while eating, clearing dishes)
  • Activity Program assistance (such as bringing residents to and from the activity room and providing activities when needed)
  • Emergency Preparedness (following facility procedures in the event of an emergency)
  • Facility Housekeeping and Maintenance (such as sanitizing and cleaning common areas and items as needed)

Caregiver Requirements:

  • Must pass a criminal background check and caregiver background check and reference checks to our standards
  • Facility will test for TB unless you have been tested in the past 90 days
  • Must be able to safely lift 50 lbs
  • Must be 18 or older
  • Must be kind, caring, and compassionate!
