POSITION PURPOSE:

The Digital Platforms Product Manager leads the full lifecycle management of EPL’s digital platforms, including mobile app, mobile web, desktop web, kiosk, digital menu boards, loyalty, and other emerging platforms. This position is critical in shaping and executing the digital strategy for our organization, overseeing the entire lifecycle of our digital platforms, and ensuring seamless integration, functionality, and continuous improvement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive digital platform strategy aligned with business objectives and consumer needs
  • Define product requirements and specifications based on user research, feedback, and business objectives
  • Drive innovation by identifying and implementing emerging technologies to enhance the customer experience, platform adoption, and ongoing engagement
  • Define and prioritize features, user stories, and backlog items, and ensure that they are communicated effectively to the development team
  • Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of all customer-facing digital platforms, from concept to deployment and ongoing optimization, including but not limited to web, mobile web, mobile app, kiosk, digital menu boards, and loyalty
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, IT, Operations, and other internal stakeholders, to ensure seamless delivery of updates, enhancements, and new features. Provide technical input, assist with testing, and implement minor changes without heavy code requirements. Collect feedback, align vision, and monitor the success of initiatives. Leverage MarTech tools and strategies to optimize digital platforms for customer acquisition, retention, and engagement.
  • Partner with Head of CRM to manage relationships with development partners and/or vendors. Help to identify and review new opportunities or relationships.
  • Evaluate software changes, adapt implementations, and reconfigure platforms.
  • Negotiate new contracts for extra features and cost savings along with spinning up additional accounts as needed.
  • Communicate product vision, roadmap, and updates clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Monitor and analyze product performance and user feedback, and make data-driven decisions to improve product functionality, usability, and adoption
  • Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly report on the success of digital initiatives to stakeholders
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge and share insights with the team and stakeholders
  • Other activities, duties or responsibilities that are assigned by your supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS – EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:

Education/Work Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. 5 years of experience in MarTech, with a focus on digital platforms for multi-unit restaurants or retailers. Proven experience in multi-unit restaurant or retail settings, and a passion for driving digital innovation.
License/Certifications:
None
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Strong project management skills with a track record of successful product launches.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing principles, channels, and tools.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies, HTML or other coding languages
  • Deep understanding of MarTech.
  • Confidence in execution of strategic initiatives.
  • Must be decisive and able to make fact-based decisions.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable strategies. Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external business partners.
  • Ability to prioritize and plan work assignments and work under pressure of frequent and tight deadlines.
  • Ability to read, write, and interpret complex reports, documents, and correspondence.
  • High level of proficiency with technology including Microsoft Office Suite applications, customized database applications, and internet research tools.
  • Adept at managing and prioritizing competing time sensitive requests while working well in a team atmosphere that may be under pressure.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment on matters of significance to the company.

The pay range identified is the hourly or salary rate El Pollo Loco expects to pay for the posted position. This range does not include any benefits or bonus opportunities that might be available for the position based on position and eligibility criteria. Individual pay will vary based on a variety of factors including years of experience, industry experience, education, geography, etc.
