Nurse Practitioner - General Pediatrics, FT Days (4098-029)

Provides acute health care to infants, children and adolescents. This includes health surveillance as well as assessment and intervention to diagnose and treat illness or disease whether acute or chronic, physical, psychosocial or behavioral. Nurse Practitioner works collaboratively with the supervising physician to provide patient assessment and diagnosis, formulae treatment plans, prescribe medications, order laboratory tests, internet test results, provide patient education, prepare medical records and refer patients for other services and care as indicated. May also provide primary care services as indicated or needed. Reports to Chief Nursing Officer. Refer to Delineation of Privileges for specific scope of practice.Required Skills1.
