Job Summary

As a Cashier at El Cubano Sandwich Shop, you will be the face of our establishment, greeting customers with a warm smile and ensuring smooth and efficient transactions. Your exceptional customer service skills, attention to detail, and positive attitude will contribute to creating a welcoming environment that keeps our customers coming back. Responsibilities

- Greet customers as they enter the shop and provide a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

- Process customer orders accurately and efficiently using our point-of-sale system.

- Answer customer inquiries about menu items, ingredients, and special offerings.

- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and accurately provide change to customers.

- Maintain a clean and organized cashier station and ensure it is stocked with necessary supplies.

- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely order fulfillment and smooth operations.

- Upsell additional menu items or promotions to enhance customer experience.

- Follow food safety and hygiene protocols to ensure the health and safety of customers and colleagues.

- Assist with basic food preparation and assembly tasks during slow periods.

- Address customer concerns or issues in a professional and courteous manner.

-Able to package and handoff order to Uber, Grughub.

-Able to make our Cuban coffee.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in a cashier or customer service role is a plus, but not required.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.

- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently.

- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and remaining calm under pressure.

- Basic math skills and attention to detail when handling money and orders.

- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.

- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.

- Enthusiasm for providing top-notch customer service and creating positive interactions.
