Highlights of the Floor Technician Position:

• Summary/Objective:

Perform carpet cleaning, floor scrubbing, receive & deliver supplies, minor vacuum repairs and daily cleaning inside Resident apartments & Common Areas. This position is primarily responsible for the routine maintenance of the floors and carpets in all public areas, office areas and patient rooms at both campuses (El Castillo and La Secoya).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintain hard floor surfaces, including scrubbing and mopping as well as Carpeted surfaces, including extracting, spotting, drying, and vacuuming.

Assisting with movement and delivery of heavy objects/packages.

Maintain and store equipment in a safe/clean condition; ensures that all equipment malfunctions are reported in a timely manner.

Use ersonal rotective quipment when working with cleaning chemicals, equipment/tools or soiled linens.

Transport tools, equipment, linen and trash throughout the campus.

as needed in Kitchens, Dining areas, Living rooms, Bathrooms, Offices, Lobbies, Hallways, Elevators, Stairways and Common Areas.

Must use correct cleaning chemicals for designated surfaces, according to OSHA regulations.

Must maintain complete knowledge of (proper) maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended.

Maintain privacy and dignity of Residents.

Protect the personal belongings of each resident.

Interact with Residents in a manner that displays warmth and promotes a caring environment.

May be assigned to work at El Castillo or La Secoya locations.

Must comply with El Castillo/La Secoya Policies & Procedures.

Other duties may be assigned.

Competencies:

Ability to safely operate carpet care equipment, hard floor care equipment, trash removal equipment, and any other equipment necessary for the cleanliness of the facility.

Ability to be flexible and honor other requests from residents or departments that can be completed in the allotted time.

Ability to work independently and as a contributing team member.

Ability to learn and understand the need and the use of infection control techniques.

Qualifications:

· Must be able to comply with state vaccine requirements.

· Ability to communicate, and follow written and oral instructions in the English language.

· Must pass criminal background check.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $19.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
