Job Title: Advanced Construction Laborer

Reports To: Superintendent/Foreman/Masons

Shift/Hours: 7 am - 3:30 pm

Classification: Full-Time

Job Purpose:

As an Advanced Construction Laborer, your primary responsibility is to perform skilled tasks on construction sites under the supervision of experienced tradespeople. You will support various aspects of construction projects, contributing to the successful completion and delivery of high-quality work.

Essential Job Functions:

• Skilled Tasks: Perform tasks such as concrete mixing, bricklaying, or framing under supervision.
• Equipment Operation: Operate a variety of construction equipment, including power tools and small machinery.
• Material Handling: Assist in the installation of construction elements, such as scaffolding or temporary structures.
• Support Tradespeople: Support skilled tradespeople (e.g., carpenters, electricians) in their tasks.
• Measurements and Layout: Conduct basic measurements and layout work as directed.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other construction workers, subcontractors, and project managers. Communicate effectively to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
• Clean-Up: Ensure thorough cleanup of the construction site at the end of each workday. Clean tools and equipment after use and store them properly.
• Problem-Solving: Identify and report any issues or potential hazards to the supervisor. Assist in finding solutions to on-site challenges.

Qualifications:

• Strong work ethic, punctuality, and reliability.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in construction or a related field is preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and work well within a team.
• Physically fit and capable of performing strenuous tasks.
• Proficiency in the use of various construction tools and equipment.
• Basic understanding of construction techniques and processes.
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations on construction sites.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 90 lbs).
• Stamina to work in various weather conditions.
• Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.

What We Offer:

$37,440 - $56,160 annually for base rate wage. 

Potential for prevailing wage projects that pay more ($62.58) with Wage Base Salary and Fringes.

Our average Laborer makes $68,991 annually, not including fringes.
