Job description:
We are Looking for Passionate, Dedicated, and Caring Direct Support Professionals to assist a fun, outgoing and social young woman. She enjoys going on walks and hikes, gardening, music, and craft activities. Connecting to her community is important to her as is spending time with her family. She loves Wii Dance, swimming, horses, creating art, and helping to look up and make new recipes with her staff.
This person lives in their own home, this is not a group home.
Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:
- This position requires assisting with household chores, meal prep and getting this young lady to and from appointments and to and from her home.
- Employees must be willing to be outside in all types of weather.
- Clean driving record is a must. No smoking is permitted on the property.
- All training will be provided, but experience working with people with developmental disabilities preferred.
Job Type: Part-time and Per-Diem shifts available.
Pay rate: $21-23 per hour, commensurate with experience.
Available Shifts:
- Monday – Friday - 7:30 – 9:00am
- Friday – 3:00 – 7:00pm
- Saturday – 12:00 – 5:00pm or somewhat flexible 5-hour shift (Open Position for Alternating Saturdays/Time Flexible)
- Additional Per Diem/On-Call Shifts available, Mon-Fri Morning/Afternoon/Eve, Weekends
**Schedules and Routine are very important to this person and their family.
Requirements:
- Experience working with adults with developmental disabilities is required.
- The employee will be required to have a background check and drug screen done.
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for transportation.
- Training will be provided.
No smoking permitted on property.
COVID-19 considerations:
Person is expected to follow COVID-19 protocols and stay up to date with Vaccination/Boosters.
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Required)
Experience:
- Developmental Disabilities Experience: 1 year (Required) – Can be acquired while working with a family member or thru volunteering
License/Certification:
- Driver's License (Required)
- Driver’s Abstract (Required)
- CPR/FA
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5 – 20 per week
Schedule:
- 4 hour shift
- Day shift
Ability to Relocate:
- Morristown, NJ: Relocate before starting work (Required)
