Job Title: Electrical / Mechanical Assembler Lead

Department: Production

Reports To: Assembly Supervisor

Hours: 6 am-2:45 pm

Position Summary: Production Assembler Lead in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Must be able to reliably follow directions producing high-quality mechanical and/or electrical assemblies. The Assembly Lead is responsible for leading a crew to complete the assembly of finished parts.

Minimum Background, Experience, and Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of assembly experience.
• Strong desire to learn on the job
• Ability to read blueprints and understand assembly drawings and bill of materials
• Able to read and write English well and use a computer.
• Deadline-driven and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Able to read a tape measure and operate simple power and manual hand tools.
• Reliable, good work ethic, and high integrity.

Tasks / Responsibilities:

• Perform regular assembly line tasks in addition to team lead duties. This is a working team lead position, not a supervisory only position.
• Aid in the movement of component parts to the assembly area, and of finished parts to next operation.
• Read blueprints and bill of materials to ensure proper parts are being assembled.
• Scan into and out of work orders correctly and record accurate count of welded assemblies.
• Possess the ability to work in a team environment and provide coaching for others.
• Aid in other departments as needed by supervisor.
