Eightfold is Hiring a Bilingual Clinician Near New York, NY

HeartShare St. Vincent’s Services (HSVS) Nuevo Camino program is dedicated to providing 38 unaccompanied minors, ages 5-12, with a supportive, nurturing environment through transitional foster homes, daily education Monday - Friday, and supportive wrap-around services in New York City. Our program is rooted in ensuring that service delivery is trauma-informed, culturally appropriate, and tailored to the needs of each child while maintaining all program requirements of ORR.
Nuevo Camino is looking for a Clinician who will be responsible for engaging individuals enrolled in the Unaccompanied Minor Program by conducting assessments and providing evidence-based treatments. Therapy will be provided on-site treatment with 1x month home session. 
Due to program requirements, Nuevo Camino is seeking a clinicians in the following shifts:
  •  8am – 4pm (Monday – Friday)
  •  12pm – 7pm (Monday – Friday)
Responsibilities:
  • Uses positive approaches when handling difficult situations. Avoids gossip and negative discussions. Remains flexible and adapts to change.
  • Serves as a role model for program participants. Abides by dress code. Conducts self in a professional manner at all times.
  • Remains sensitive and responsive to cultural differences between program participants and staff.
  • Participates in in-service training and on-site workshops as required for professional growth and development. Attend external training and workshops at the direction of management.
  • Represents the organization both within and outside of the work environment in a manner that promotes the mission, vision, and values of the agency. Adheres to organizational mission, vision, and values, in addition to all other agency policies and procedures.
  • Conducts assessments, and standardized screens, and develops treatment plans.
  • Participates in supervision and training to build professional growth, ensure accountability, and quality services for children in the Unaccompanied Minor Program
  • Completes documentation in compliance with the Office of Mental Health, state, federal and HMO regulations.
  • Provides crisis intervention services and safety plans as needed.
  • Works collaboratively with collateral contacts, team members, and internal and external providers and documents all accordingly.
  • Maintains a weekly schedule and completes all documentation required for billing.
  • Participate in agency-wide and internal meetings, activities, and training.
  • This is a 24 hour facility and overtime may be required for this role as needed.
Sign on Bonus: $2000
Requirements:
  • Education: Master's degree or Equivalent 
  • New York State License in one of the following professions:
  • Licensed Clinical Social Work (LCSW), Licensed Master of Social Work (LMSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Creative Arts Therapist (LCAT).
  • Have a background in mental health counseling with children/youth
  • Interest in professional growth and working with children who have been impacted by immigration.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with a team.
  • Ability to learn Electronic Health Records.
  • HSVS requires all new hires to provide proof of vaccination prior to their start date. Employees who require an accommodation for medical or religious reasons should notify Human Resources.
