In order to meet the near-term and long-term goals Eide Bailly has set and to realize our vision, our marketing department and its leadership have a very specific assignment which can be summarized in two words: Growth & Communication. From those two ideas flow all strategies, tactics, tools, and executions. Our future Chief Marketing Officer must be able to embrace this mission and see how it informs all expressions of their duties.

Within the goal-setting superstructure of Growth and Communication, our next CMO will focus on four subtopics: Branding, Lead Generation, Sales Enablement, and Communications. Within these four subtopics are more specific subordinate deliverables, including brand alignment, advisory practice growth, product design and marketing, upskilling & development, storytelling, social proofing, executive communications, and more. The CMO will report to and work closely with the firm’s Chief Growth Officer to drive growth and help the firm achieve its Vision 2030 goals and beyond.

Typical Day in the Life

A typical day as Chief Marketing Officer might include the following:

Strategic Brand Development

  • Develops and executes a comprehensive brand strategy that aligns with Eide Bailly's vision and goals.
  • Defines and communicates our unique value proposition, ensuring brand consistency across all channels.
  • Drives brand awareness and recognition nationally through innovative and creative campaigns and initiatives for multiple industries, regions, and services in various stages of maturity.
  • Employs a mastery of storytelling in brand, marketing, and communications.

Lead Generation

  • Establishes a uniform marketing decision-making methodology for use across the department at all levels to optimize and unify marketing success, strategy, and execution.
  • Develops systematic go-to-market strategies that result in generating driving increased client and prospect engagement for our client facing teams.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with service line, industry, and regional leaders to ensure the firm’s strategic growth plans and priorities are aligned, planned, communicated, and executed.
  • Utilizes market research, client insights, digital marketing campaigns, social media strategies, and SEO/SEM initiatives to develop and implement innovative lead generation strategies that generate qualified leads and measurable growth. 

Sales Enablement

  • Curates and implements online sales enablement tools that equip client facing professionals to have more insightful and targeted conversations with prospects and clients.
  • Oversees collaboration with internal Learning & Development team to train employees on using sales enablement tools to drive meaningful engagement with clients and prospects.
  • Oversees creation and deployment of targeted sales materials leveraging branded storytelling that demonstrates how the firm successfully solves business challenges.

Communication

  • Galvanizes the purpose, mission and key messages of the executive voice internally and externally through creatively designed programs and on-going one-to-one collaboration with CEO and other executives.
  • Promotes internal communications that enhance the overall employee experience within the organization and drive employee engagement.
  • Drives construction conversations throughout the firm around purpose, value and measurement of marketing and sales activities.

Team Leadership and Organizational Development

  • Develops the marketing vision, high-level strategies, and organizational structure that results in driving growth.
  • Turns vision and strategy into execution and guides the marketing team to individual excellence and collective success.
  • Approaches leadership as an act of service. Leads and inspires a high-performing marketing team that fosters a culture of creativity, collaboration, continuous improvement, and accountability.
  • Ensures a culture of inclusion and belonging, leading to diverse talent and thinking.

Analytics & Intentional Marketing

  • Sets clear goals, monitors performance, and ensures the team's efforts are aligned with overall firm objectives.
  • Leverages data analytics and marketing metrics to monitor campaign effectiveness, ROI, and client insights to make data-driven recommendations to optimize marketing strategies and improve client engagement.

  • You are well versed in marketing but also conversationally fluent in Sales, Accounting, and Advisory
  • You are a sales and people enabler; you can equip and inspire sales and service delivery professionals to have high quality engagement with clients and prospects.
  • You have an eye for talent and a passion for stewarding careers.
  • You possess professional empathy and curiosity.
  • You hold yourself accountable for measurement, outcomes and team performance.

In addition: 

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in marketing or related discipline.
  • You have 15 years of senior-level marketing experience with exposure to both professional services and product marketing.
  • You have 10 years of leadership experience, growing and leading teams through organizational change and transformation across multiple divisions, product lines, and geographies.
  • You have demonstrated success in growing and evolving a global brand and demonstrated success in designing and taking new services and products to market.
  • You have experience with generating leads through public relations, online presence, branding, social media and digital advertising.
  • You have experience as an executive leader representing an entire department, demonstrating strong executive presence and comfort with public speaking.
  • You have a proven track record in creating and implementing marketing strategies.

Must be authorized to work in the United States now or in the future without visa sponsorship.

Benefits and Compensation

Our compensation philosophy emphasizes competitive and equitable pay. Eide Bailly complies with all local/state regulations regarding displaying salary ranges. Final compensation decisions are dependent upon factors such as geography, experience, education, skills, and internal equity.

Salary Range: $230,000-$280,000 plus annual discretionary bonus

Beyond base salary, Eide Bailly provides benefits such as: generous paid time off, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) profit sharing, life and disability insurance, lifestyle spending account, certification incentives, education assistance, and a referral program.
