Director of Branch Operations

Duluth, GA

We are looking for a rockstar someone who will develop and drive operational improvements at the branch level, immediately.

Job Summary :

The Director of Branch Operations will be responsible for driving operational improvements and ensuring the efficient functioning of branch-level operations.

Key responsibilities include developing and executing continuous improvement initiatives, adhering to company values, collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve objectives, implementing quality assurance measures, optimizing resource allocation, providing guidance to department managers, and identifying opportunities for productivity enhancement and cost reduction.

This position lies in the plumbing and liquid waste management industry.

Essential Functions :

  • Create and execute specific or unified continuous improvement efforts to address burning issues at branches under (or within) tight timeframes.
  • Adhere to company values and administer in all activities.
  • Partner with Finance, HR, Safety, and Sales to deliver company budgets and objectives.
  • Quality assurance : Implement and monitor quality control processes to ensure that recycling and plumbing work meets or exceeds industry standards and client expectations.
  • Resource Management : Optimize resource allocation, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to maximize project efficiency and profitability.
  • Directs and monitors department managers in the accomplishment of goals consistent with established policies and safety procedures.
  • Identifies, recommends, and implements changes to improve productivity and reduce cost among various business and operating units.

  • Branch Playbook a guide to operating a successful branch; able to replicate in a new location
  • Training matrix for technician advancement
  • Fully implemented inventory management system
  • Fleet maintenance program
  • Improved Revenue / paid hour, Cost / paid hour, GP
  • Reduced customer churn from operational failures

Leadership Style and Traits :

  • Demonstrated understanding of environmental policies and procedures relevant to the plumbing and liquid waste management industry.
  • Proven leadership skills with a track record of managing cross-functional teams and driving operational excellence.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on addressing highest priority issues and implementing effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in budget management, resource allocation, and performance monitoring.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to develop and execute operational plans that align with organizational skills.
  • Qualities; Quick problem solver, strong intuition, data-oriented, gritty, direct, and strong follow-through and commitment.
