What you will do as a Speech Language Pathologist with Shared Services Home Health Care:Not only will you be growing in your career, but you will also be gaining another family.
- Review request for occupational therapy and physicians orders.
- Interview client to determine type of treatment and schedule therapy.
- Evaluate type of therapy most desirable after consulting with physician.
- Assist clients in ambulatory training as necessary.
- Recommend modifications and changes in the clients therapy treatment as indicated.
- Ensure that all therapist notes are informative and descriptive of the care provided and of the clients response to the care.
- Select rehabilitative and therapeutic activities and exercises based on medical and social history of clients.
- Contingent Position/PRN
- Looking for 1-2 days a week to provide patient care
- Northern Monroe County
- Washtenaw County
- Western Wayne County
- Doctoral degree in SLP from an accredited college or program
- Must possess an active license to practice as a SLP in the State of Michigan
- 1 year of homecare experience preferred
- Experience with Wellsky/Kinnser preferred
- You have a strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to speech
- You have great interpersonal skills and can show compassion to your patients
- You have excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- You have a passion for providing in-home care to the elderly population
