- Inspect, operate, or test mechanical, electronic and hydraulic equipment to diagnose malfunctions, damage, defects, or wear
- Plan and lay out repair work, using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, or schematic diagrams.
- Repair machines, equipment, or structures, using tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, or equipment such as precision measuring instruments or electrical or electronic testing devices.
- Perform general preventive maintenance in accordance to manufacturers guidelines.
- Perform quality control processes to ensure proper function of equipment.
- Document and record services performed utilizing company provided systems
- Pick parts from inventory to perform repairs
- Process inventory counts and maintain accurate location of assigned inventory
- Follow all company’s filed procedures and protocols.
- Maintain shop housekeeping standards.

- Two-year technical degree or accredited apprenticeship program or the equivalent in a technical field.
- 2 years’ experience and ability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- A thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic components and equipment, including the use of special instruments for diagnostic purposes.
- Experience in working with customers over the phone
- Experience in sourcing products and negotiating prices
- Experienced in using an ERP (SAP, Oracle, Epicor Prophet 21, or Epicor Eclipse)
- Experience working for a distributor or wholesale business
- Experience with underground utility products, i.e., waterworks, plumbing and natural gas utilities
