Eglin Federal Credit Union is Hiring an Information Systems Project Manager Near Fort Walton Beach, FL

Starting Pay: $36.06 hourly

Position Closing: 5/16/2024

Role:

The Information Systems Project Manager is responsible for the analysis and direction of the development and implementation of computer-based and other management information projects in support of the enterprise information system for the needs of a department. This position will work in coordination with varying numbers of information systems specialists, departmental managers and other end users. Assignments will require the use of analytical thinking and adherence to functional precedents, practices and policies. This position will have controlling responsibility for the completion of assigned digital and information system related projects. 

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Oversees information systems project planning, monitors progress, coordinates cross department meetings and assists in coordination for collaboration efforts.
  • Offers coaching, leadership, and training to manage IS staff performance.
  • Assists AVP of Digital Solutions and AVP of Information with the development of core and digital solutions, vendor management and department procedures and policies.
  • Cultivates a collaborative environment and workplace experience that hires, develops, and recognizes quality talent to meet the needs of the department.
  • Maintains safe and healthy working environment by ensuring that information systems staff complies with organizational policies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills:

Experience

Five years to eight years of similar or related experience. Experience and knowledge of all credit union core platforms, services, and compliance required. Firm understanding of core systems and network related dependencies required. Must be familiar with project management and personnel management techniques. Working experience with project management techniques and software. 

Education

(1) A bachelor's degree, or (2) achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree (e.g., information technology certifications in lieu of a degree). Management, Project Management, Leadership and Technical Certificates related degrees preferred. 

Interpersonal Skills

Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is of a personal or sensitive nature. Motivating, influencing, and/or training others is key at this level. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others. A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. 

Other Skills

Must have firm grasp of project management methodologies. Experience in maintenance, testing, documentation, automation and quality assurance required. Must be proficient in all Microsoft software applications and project management software. Must be able to quickly learn and apply newly developed skills necessary to manage corresponding projects and deploy/train internal staff on their usage. 

Physical Requirements

Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time. 

Work Environment

Back office environment working closely with other employees, telephones and computer equipment.
