Position Summary:
The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for maintaining systems and equipment by completing preventive maintenance schedules; restoring, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing faulty or inoperative components and parts to include supervising and delegating to a team of mechanics.
Responsibilities:

• Create a maintenance schedule for equipment including monthly site inspections of company’s interior and exterior assets/ food processing equipment and annual inspections of fire extinguishers, overhead doors, sprinkler systems, pressure vessels, emergency lighting
• Oversee the use of CMMS systems for company assets, refrigeration controls, and cryogenic tank monitoring
• Manage and direct all maintenance related issues at the Culinary Center.
• Manage budget effectively, make required parties aware of potential high cost issues, mitigate costly breakdowns with effective preventative solutions
• Lead, inspire and develop all maintenance employees within the Culinary Center. Monitoring employee productivity and providing constructive feedback and coaching.
• Train, develop, and mentor subordinates. Additionally, train and document production staff of their equipment and heavy warehouse equipment
• Create equipment S.O.P English and Spanish
• Purchase materials and supplies, test, select, organize spare parts inventory record keeping provide awareness of critical spares and potential lead times
• Setting goals for performance and deadlines in ways that comply with company's plans and vision.
• Organizing workflow and ensuring that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks.
• Perform installation of pneumatic, mechanical, and electronic equipment.
• Maintain relationships with vendors, contractors, and local municipality
• Respond to emergency site maintenance as required, confer and advise CC Director and other personnel regarding maintenance projects and priorities.
• Review and provide recommendations on improving or repairing assets
• Monitor equipment for proper working conditions and usage, including enforcement of safety measures
• Coordinate capital projects with negotiation with vendors and contractors, monitor project from start to finish, minimize interruption to production
• Perform related duties and responsibilities as assigned by the CC Director

Working Relationships: This position requires significant interaction with all departments to include Quality Assurance, Production, and Sanitation and other departments on campus in order to communicate maintenance needs of the facility equipment.
Minimum Education: Trade High School Diploma or Associates Degree in General Management
Preferred Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration
Minimum Experience: 2 years of experience as an Equipment Maintenance Technician or other related specialization. The candidate must have some mechanical and electronics training. Also, must be able to follow equipment manufacturer drawings/sketches and instructions. .
Preferred Experience: 5 years of experience working as an Equipment Maintenance Technician or other related specialization. Should have knowledge of electronics, interpreting of schematics, pneumatic systems and ability to work from equipment manufacturer drawings/sketches and instructions. Understanding of plumbing, carpentry, masonry, electrical theory, HVAC systems, PLC and micro electrical components, as well as local, state regulatory, International Building Code, OSHA, HACCP and GMP requirements. Should have a valid 2nd class fireman license.
Licenses/Certifications: EPA Universal License (preferred, not required)
Soft Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to interact with all levels of management and personnel within the organization and external contacts. Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks. Data driven with use of root cause analysis.
