Position Name: Enterprise Architect with Strategy

Location: Reston, VA (one day onsite is preferred)

Duration: Six months with possibility of extension

Job Description:

• Architecture Development: Develop, review, approve, and maintain enterprise architecture blueprints and roadmaps
• Analyze pain points and opportunities that transcend business areas and propose enterprise strategies or solutions
• Architecture Consulting: Provide guidance to enterprise, domain and solution architects to ensure that solution architectures align with IT strategies and enterprise blueprints, standards, and guidelines
• Strategy Development: Support the development and execution of enterprise and domain-specific IT strategies, standards, and guidelines
• Architecture Governance: Represent Enterprise Architecture and provide thought leadership in solution architecture peer reviews and architecture governance forums
• Ensure that IT portfolio decisions provide business value and optimize total cost of ownership
• Architecture Practice Development: Support the development, tailoring, and enhancement of enterprise architecture frameworks, methods, and tools
• Ensure the alignment and integration of enterprise architecture processes and deliverables with those of other architecture and SDLC disciplines
• Planning and Operations: Assess projects for architecture impacts in support of annual planning, resource estimation, and alignment with IT strategy and enterprise architecture
• Provide regular reporting on progress, issues, and opportunities related to enterprise architecture

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Ability to motivate and influence others so that project objectives are met in a timely manner.
• Ability to collaborate with stakeholders to develop high quality solutions.
• Effective organizational, interpersonal/relationship management, analytical, communications (written and verbal) and collaboration.
• Expertise with architecture frameworks, methods and tools.
• Experience leading IT and/or business transformation initiatives is required.
• Experience engaging and advising executive-level stakeholders is required.
• TOGAF certification (or similar) is preferred.
• Experience using architecture modeling tools (Orbus iServer or similar) is preferred.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $70.00 - $75.00 per hour
