Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. As an LPN, you will provide direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses or physicians. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the well-being and comfort of our patients.
Duties:
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any significant changes to the healthcare team
- Assist with sterile processing and maintaining a clean and safe environment
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families
- Perform procedures such as gastric lavage, wound care, and specimen collection
- Document patient information accurately and maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Utilize electronic health record systems (e.g., Cerner) for documentation and communication purposes
- Assist with laboratory testing and interpretation of results
- Provide care for patients with various medical conditions, including acute care, primary care, behavioral health, and dementia care
Requirements:
- Valid LPN license in MO
- BLS Certification (AHA)
- Completion of an accredited practical nursing program
- Strong knowledge of nursing principles and practices
- Experience in sterile processing, acute care, primary care, behavioral health, or dementia care is preferred
- Familiarity with inhale medications administration techniques is a plus
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems (e.g., Cerner)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
