Job Purpose & Expectations:

• Under direct supervision, provides checking duties and coordination of drafting personnel within engineering group.
• Compiles visual perception of EFCO Corp.'s products to be used in sales, manufacturing and erection of EFCO steel forms.
• Recommends updates to drafting and engineering standards.
• Utilizes knowledge of various equipment, engineering practices, mathematics and other means to check accuracy of drawings to meet district and corporate objectives.
• Solves practical problems and deals with a variety of concrete variable in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
• Includes CAD Designer 3 purpose and expectations.

Essential Functions: Lists major actions performed in the job. Describes what occurs and the reason the action is taken. Provides impact of each action by indicating percentage of time spent performing the functions.

Requirements:

Associates degree or equivalent, plus minimum of 2-5 years experience in drafting, checking or other engineering related position. General construction knowledge along with ability to read and interpret blueprints required. Mechanical aptitude with ability to complete basic mathematical calculations is essential. Must have Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) experience from past EFCO position or work experience. Problem solving, organizational and PC skills are required. No travel required.
