EF Senior Care is Hiring a Staff Development/Infection Control Preventionist Near Cambridge, MA

Eisenstein Flaherty & Associates is currently assisting Sancta Maria Nursing Facility in Cambridge to identify a full-time Staff Development /Infection Control Preventionist.

Sancta Maria is a premier non profit short term rehab skilled nursing facility with an excellent history and reputation in the Cambridge community

General Summary: Under the general direction of the Director of Nursing, the Staff Development Coordinator/Infectoion Control Preventionist is responsible for in-service education and instruction to all staff members in the facility to maintain compliance with all federal and state requirements, as well as overseeing the implementation of all infection control and COVID compinace programs.

Essential Job Functions:

Provide nursing services as a staff member

Provide ongoing medical education and training for all staff members

Ensure daily compliance with all infection control guidelines.

Hold general orientation meetings for all new employees, acclimating them to facility requirements as well as provide all training in required federal/state regulations

Ensure staff members perform duties in accordance with standard nursing practices

Provide training and re-education to those staff members needing assistance

Interprets regulatory requirements and acts upon as necessary

May be required to manage staff in absence of supervisor and/or Director of Nursing

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Required:

Registered Nurse license in Massachusetts

Maintain ongoing education to change/trends in nursing

Extensive knowledge of all applicable federal/state regulations

Ability to lead by example

On-call availability for resident/staff issues

Excellent interpersonal skills

Must have valid driver's license

Must be able to speak and read English

Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with residents, families, staff, attending physicians
