Edwardsburg Public Schools a National Blue Ribbon district is accepting applications for a dynamic, energetic High School English Language Arts Teacher who maintains a positive learning environment, effectively holds high academic expectations, creates a student-centered classroom while building rapport with students, parents, and staff. Coaching options may be available.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The person selected for this position will be the one who offers the best combination of training, experience, and attributes in accordance with the following:
· Must meet State of Michigan Certification requirement to teach High School English – BX or BA Required; Successful experience as a secondary teacher, student teacher, or substitute teacher.
DUTIES:
A. Plan and deliver the Michigan Academic Standards using evidence-based instructional strategies
B. Provide and maintain an orderly classroom environment
C. Possess a working knowledge of formative and summative assessment strategies that align with the Michigan Academic Standards and can be used to monitor student achievement and growth
D. Work independently and cooperatively in all aspects of the job
E. Perform other duties as assigned by administrator
F. Experience with Google Classroom a plus
