Edwardsburg Public Schools, a National Blue Ribbon district, is accepting applications for a dynamic, energetic Secondary Spanish Teacher who maintains a positive learning environment, effectively holds high academic expectations, creates a student-centered classroom while building rapport with students, parents, and staff. Coaching options may be available.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The person selected for this position will be the one who offers the best combination of training, experience, and attributes in accordance with the following:
A. Must meet State of Michigan Certification requirement to teach Secondary Spanish – FF endorsement.
B. Successful experience as a secondary teacher, student teacher, or substitute teacher.
C. Knowledge of scope and sequence of curriculum.
D. Ability to recognize and respond to individual differences.
E. Ability to implement a variety of instructional and assessment methods
F. Good interpersonal and classroom management skills.
G. Demonstrated interest in personal professional development.
H. Experience as a collaborative team participant.
I. Complete (at applicant’s expense) State-mandated Criminal Background Check.
DUTIES:
· Plan and deliver the Michigan Academic Standards using evidence-based instructional strategies
· Provide and maintain an orderly classroom environment
· Possess a working knowledge of formative and summative assessment strategies that align with the Michigan Academic Standards and can be used to monitor student achievement and growth
· Work independently and cooperatively in all aspects of the job
· Perform other duties as assigned by administrator
· Experience with Google Classroom a plus
