Expenditure Management is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sr. Financial Analyst II to support our firm's branch expense functions. Our department is responsible for enabling the timely and accurate payment and allocation of expenses in alignment with firm expense policy and established accounting principles.
This role will be part of a close-knit team that works collaboratively to meet the demands of our deadline driven work. The team works in partnership with internal stakeholders, external service partners, as well as suppliers to provide effective expense solutions for the firm. We have built and maintain many trusted relationships and are known as a team capable of delivering superior results. We are an integral part of several firm-level project teams tasked with transforming the way in which our branch teams work and pay for the investments made in their business.
The successful candidate will possess the analytical and collaboration skills needed to create data-driven solutions and recommendations in partnership with the areas we support.What You'll Do:
  • Develop and maintain a network of relationships with internal stakeholders as well as external suppliers and outsourced bill-pay partners impacting our area of responsibility
  • Prepare and summarize firm financial reports and analysis that facilitates the transformation of complex data into actionable insights and recommendations for decision making
  • Identify, monitor, and proactively improve business processes, systems, and controls related to area of responsibility
  • Inform and educate business areas as to the financial impact of decisions, as well as recommending a preferred solution to influence strategic decisions
  • Develop functional measurements to create awareness of, and accountability for results
  • Troubleshoot and provide analytical solutions for system issues and monthly processes
  • Participate in and lead cross-functional teams responsible for implementing projects in support of divisional and firm-wide business objectives
What Experience You'll Need:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • 4 years of relevant work experience, including prior experience in an analysis function.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with external or internal stakeholders, including senior leadership, providing analytical guidance to directly influence business decisions
  • Advanced analysis skills with an ability to understand and identify opportunities to apply different analytical approaches and visualizations
  • Ability to analyze problems and recommend solutions for a broad spectrum of business improvement opportunities in a clear and concise manner
  • Ability to operate in ambiguous situations, creating process improvements that address short term needs in alignment with the department and division's vision
  • Identify trends and present recommendations to leadership to influence decision making
  • Ability to plan and organize efficiently and effectively
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required, including demonstrated ability to utilize pivot tables, advanced charting, advanced formulas, and conditional formatting
What Could Set You Apart:
  • Experience with SQL, Tableau, Power BI or other data visualization tools would be considered a plus
  • Working knowledge of PeopleSoft Financials is also a plus
  • An advanced degree (MBA/MSF) is also a plus
Candidates that live within in a commutable distance from our St. Louis, MO home office location are expected to work in the office three days per week, with preference for Tuesday through Thursday.
