Team Overview:
The Software Security team is responsible for enabling software developers to deliver secure software to our Financial Advisors and Home office associates.
What You'll Do…
Support developers addressing security, configuration and policy risks found in their software and containers.
Install, configure, and maintain software, platforms, and systems.
Automate processes using scripting languages or other tools to reduce toil across the organization.
Produces high quality technical documentation.
Participates in lunch and learns and other forums presenting on topics related to containers, Kubernetes, and software security.
Research technical improvements and takes the initiative to communicate/implement solutions.
Provide leadership related to technical aspects of tools, methodologies, best practices and processes and standards that apply to their technical area of expertise.
Collaborates with other areas across the firm to address security issues.
Communicates issues and problem resolutions with all affected stakeholders, business areas and vendors.
Research requirements to determine system feasibility, costs, benefits, or functional requirements.
Ensure prudent use of the firm’s financial resources.
Actively mentor and train other associates in their area of expertise.
What Experience You'll Need…
Bachelor's degree in information technology or Computer Science or Computer Information Systems or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in Linux administration, bash, and Python scripting, containerization (Docker, containerd) hardening, Kubernetes administration, developing and delivering application solutions for enterprise level development and integration projects.
Proven knowledge and experience in the deployment of Microsoft's Azure services
Experience in automation, configuration management and deployment of enterprise scale infrastructures using Ansible, Terraform or ARM
Understanding of Object-Oriented Principles and Java, software security, system administration.
Proficient with Git and Git workflows.
Experience with static and software composition analysis findings and how to resolve them.
Knowledge of configuring monitoring solutions and the creation of dashboards (Dynatrace, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana).
Knowledge of industry standard tools: Spring Boot, Spring Framework, JUnit, Python, Gradle and Maven.
Experience with server-side technologies such as Apache, Tomcat.
Assist in the build and integration of cloud CI/CD stack and on-premises pipelines.
Experience with Prisma Cloud would be great, but not required.
