Product Specialist

Digital Merchandising retrieves data from manufacturers and we deploy the information forour large on-line retailers. Usually using Excel and/or web portals. We are looking for an individual who can analyze product information and manipulate data to accommodate both the company’s needs as well as our customers requirements. Individual needs to be flexible and project driven.

Reports to: Director of Merchandising and Vendor Relations

Full-Time, Non-exempt

Essential Functions of the Role

Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Communicate with vendors to retrieve product data
• Audit existing product copy on a project-to-project basis
• Research and source product features
• Ensure data collected is stored appropriately for future use
• Manipulate data to company and customer standards using Microsoft Excel
• Actively gain knowledge of products and processes
• Manage retailer onboarding process; populate Microsoft Excel templates for product submissions

• Basic computer and data entry skills
• Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Outlook Email, and Word)
• Detail-oriented, with strong analytical and organizational skills
• Excellent grammatical skills including proofreading and editing abilities
• Able to manage multiple and competing work priorities, demands and changes
• Work independently as well as in a team environment
• 3 years experience in an office environment or college degree in applicable field (Journalism, English, Communications, Marketing, etc.)

Additional Skills and Experience a Plus

• Experience with writing for consumer e-commerce products
• In-depth Microsoft Excel Experience
• Experience with Amazon, Overstock, Walmart or other marketplace advertising and promotions a plus

Physical Requirements:

• Sit at a desk intermittently for up to eight hours per day
• Ability to type, using a computer keyboard, intermittently for up to eight hours per day
