POSITION DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Direct Supervisor:

Regional Resource Specialist Assistant Director of Teaching and

Learning

The Regional Resource Specialist at Educational Service District 105 plays a pivotal role in

fostering partnerships with local businesses, non-profits, corporations, philanthropic

organizations, and foundations regionally and across the state. This position specifically focuses

on leveraging funding opportunities for Full-Service Community Schools initiative at four local

school districts in the Yakima Valley and the Yakama Nation Tribal School. The successful

candidate will have a strong background in resource development, community engagement, and

project coordination to support the growth and sustainability of Full-Service Community Schools

in the region.

Essential Job Functions:

A. Identify, research and cultivate relationships with local businesses, non-profit organizations,
corporations, philanthropic organizations, and foundations regionally to secure services and

funding for Full-Service Community Schools.

B. Develop and implement comprehensive resource development strategies and campaigns to
support FSCS sustainability.

C. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop proposals, funding
applications, and other resource mobilization materials.

D. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of resource development efforts and adjust strategies
as necessary to achieve financial goals.

E. Engage and collaborate with local businesses, community organizations and key stakeholders
to identify opportunities for partnership and resource sharing.

F. F. Facilitate meetings and networking events to connect potential partners with the school
districts and advocate for the Full-Service Community Schools Program.

G. Maintain strong relationships with existing partners, ensuring effective communication,
regular updates, and stewardship of their contributions.

H. Coordinate and oversee the implementation of funded projects, ensuring alignment with the
goals and objectives of Full-Service Community Schools.

I. Collaborate with ESD 105 FSCS Coordinator, CIS Program Manager, and Community
Coordinators, to identify resource gaps and develop strategies to address them.

J. Prepare regular reports on project progress, outcomes, and financial status to stakeholders,
funding organizations, and the Educational Service District.

K. Conduct outreach activities to increase community awareness and support for Full-Service
Community Schools.

L. Represent Educational Service District 105 at regional meetings, conferences, and
community events to promote the program and build relationships.

M. Collaborate with evaluators, marketing and communication teams to develop and distribute
informational materials about Full-Service Community Schools and their impact.

Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience

1. Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (e.g. nonprofit management, community development,
education) OR equivalent experience.

2. Proven experience in resource development, and coordination.
3. Strong networking, relationship-building, and partnership management skills.
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively present

complex information to diverse audiences.

5. Knowledge of the education sector, community development, and funding landscape in
Washington State is highly desirable.

6. Proficiency in using productivity tools, databases, and software for reporting and
management of work.

Preferred Education and Experience

1. Three to five years’ experience working in a K-12 educational setting.
2. Knowledge of the communities being served within the Full-Service Community grant.
3. Familiarity with Full-Service Community Schools or similar community-based education

initiatives.

12. Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
13. Ability to work flexible days/hours, with the ability to travel throughout the ESD 105 region

as necessary and appropriate.
