POSITION DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Direct Supervisor:

Fiscal Software Analyst 1 or 2 Assistant Director of Fiscal-ISC

The Fiscal Software Analyst is responsible for providing software technical support and training to school
districts within the Greater Columbia River Information Service Center Cooperative. The Cooperative
provides software implementation, training, and support for all aspects of Skyward SMS and Qmlativ
Financial Management, Human Resources, and Student applications to the ESD105, ESD112 and ESD
171 regions. This position focuses primarily on Financial Management applications but occasionally
lends support to Human Resources and Student applications as well. The role requires a blend of technical
proficiency, critical thinking skills, and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service. The
position requires travel to school districts and other education related agencies and has remote work
flexibility.

Essential Job Functions:
A. Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the so ware within the Skyward and Qmla v suite of Fiscal

applica ons.
B. Provide technical assistance to school district personnel regarding implementa on of so ware,

processes and procedures for handling data related to the financial systems applica on.
C. Troubleshoot applica on so ware problems by evalua ng the client’s descrip on of the problem,

asking per nent ques ons, duplica ng the situa on, tes ng the applica on, gathering
documenta on, and ac ng as a liaison between the client and WSIPC Product Support and Services
teams.

D. Maintain an in-depth knowledge of all data interfaces between school districts, OSPI, and other state
and federal agencies to meet requirements.

E. Research and implement technological advances for the purpose of streamlining and appropriately
transmi ng district data to outside agencies, ensuring accuracy of data regarding adherence to
policies, procedures, and legal requirements.

F. Ability to analyze, test and document new so ware releases.
G. Develop training materials and conduct training workshops regarding the use of Skyward SMS and

Qmla v Financial Management and Cross Product applica on in individual, small and large group
training formats in person and via Zoom.

H. Work in coordina on with WSIPC staff in support of all Skyward and Qmla v So ware training,
mee ng, conference, and so ware development.

I. Support and cooperate with other fiscal analysts to assure consistency in training member district
personnel.

J. Assists computer opera ons staff with client output and delivery needs when necessary.
K. Demonstrate an understanding of accoun ng and the ability to support school business opera ons.

Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience:
1. Experience in developing and conduc ng group presenta ons to both small and large audiences.
2. Educa on and experience with a strong emphasis in Accoun ng, Data Management, Rela onal

Databases, or a combina on thereof.
3. Extensive PC experience including Microso Office Suite Products.
4. Minimum High School Diploma.
5. Two years’ experience in customer service and building partnerships.
6. Ability to work flexible days and addi onal hours to meet deadlines.
7. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel (required).

Preferred Education and Experience:
1. BA/BS degree in Business Administra on, Informa on Systems or related field or applicable

cer fica on.
2. Three (3) years of recent experience in an educa onal service agency or school district working with

financial and or human resources data (preferred Skyward so ware).
3. Demonstrated recent experience in developing procedural documenta on.
4. Proven recent experience assis ng school district personnel in a variety of accoun ng ma ers.

6. Travel to districts served by the Coopera ve. Some overnight travel may be required.
