EDUCATIONAL SERVICE DIST 112 is Hiring a High School Math Teacher (2024-25 SY) Near Castle Rock, WA

General ResponsibilitiesThe Castle Rock School District would like to announce the opening of a High School Math Teacher position for the 2024-25 school year. The position will teach math which will include Algebra and Geometry. Candidates must hold the proper Washington State endorsement/license.Salary and Benefits: Salary: $54,221 - $102,194Castle Rock School District offers the following: Medical, dental, vision, basic long-term disability, basic life and AD & D insurance through School Employees Benefits Board (SEBB)Employees may also be eligible to participate in FSA, DCAP, HSA, and other supplemental benefits.Employees may be eligible for employer-employee-funded retirement benefits through the Department of Retirement Services (DRS)CRSD offers paid sick, personal, religious and bereavement leave.Essential Functions/Other FunctionsEssential Functions/Responsibilities: Plan and implement a program of study following state and district standards that meet the individual needs and abilities of the students by providing effective, differentiated instruction using research-based practices.Implement instructional methods and materials that are most appropriate for achieving stated objectives for instruction and student success, including use of technology.Guide the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum student outcomes.Participate with other staff to cooperatively plan, develop, and implement a course of instruction designed to meet the needs of students in all curriculum areas.Educate special needs students within the regular classroom environment in collaboration with other staff.Create a classroom environment that is safe and conductive to learning for all students.Participate with other staff to cooperatively develop effective, positive techniques for improving student behavior.Participate in State, Federal and District testing requirements.Provide positive supports and guidance to a diverse population.Manage student behavior for the purpose of providing a safe and an optimal learning environment.Assess students academic learning and/or skills for the purpose of supporting teachers expectations, developing methods for improvement and/or reinforcing classroom goals.Maintain accurate, complete, confidential, and timely records as required by law, District Policy, and Administrative Regulations including attendance, IEP information, progress reports, cumulative records, and classroom inventory.Confer with colleagues, administrators, students and/or parents when necessary.Collaborate with school personnel and parents for the purpose of improving the quality of student performance, developing solutions and planning curriculum.Become familiar with and uphold the enforcement of school rules, Administrative Regulations and Board Policy.Demonstrate a professional and positive attitude when carrying out responsibilities as a faculty member.Perform assigned out-of-classroom supervision and other duties.Participate in staff meetings, planning events, and grade level/department/PLC meetings.Participate in total building program, including assemblies, contests, and other student activities.Engage in ongoing professional development.Other Functions: Fulfill all other responsibilities as assigned.Minimum/Preferred Qualifications & SkillsMinimum Qualifications: Successful completion of a Bachelors degree, valid Washington State teaching certificate with Math endorsement.Additional Requirements: Must be flexible, exhibit a commitment to accomplishment, possess outstanding communication and conceptual skills, demonstrate appropriate and positive student relationships, possess a strong professional orientation, and be willing to actively participate in a team environment.Must have regular, consistent attendance.Must be willing to uphold District Policies and follow administrative procedures.Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum integration and a commitment to improve and refine instructional and management skills by participating in professional development.Demonstrated willingness and ability to use a variety of research-based effective instructional strategies, (with an emphasis on reading, writing and mathematical skills).Demonstrated knowledge of technology and an ability to incorporate into instructional programs.Demonstrated compatibility with staff, program and school goals.Demonstrated commitment to fostering a positive attitude with students and adults (staff and parents).Demonstrated awareness, appreciation and respect of diversity among students and adults.Sets appropriate expectations for individual students.Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated successful teaching experience at the designated grade level preferred.ELL endorsement. Working Conditions/Employment RequirementsWorking Conditions/Physical Requirements: Positions in this class typically require: stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.
This position may be exposed to prolonged exposure to visual display terminals as required.Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.Incumbents may be subjected to moving mechanical parts, odors, chemicals, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting, workspace restrictions and intense noises.Employment Requirements: Successfully complete Washington State Patrol background check. Employee is responsible for cost of background check.
