Job Description/Responsibilities
We are looking for two individuals to repair and refinish our Transit buses and school/automotive vehicle bodies and straighten vehicle frames. This individual will be expected to prime and paint repaired surfaces; inspect repaired vehicles for dimensional accuracy and test drive them to ensure proper alignment and handling; and determine the causes of repair errors and decide what to do about them.
Qualifications/Skills
To succeed, you need to be skilled in filing, grinding, sanding, and smoothing filled or repaired surfaces; removing damaged sections of vehicles and installing replacement parts; mixing polyester resins and hardeners to be used in restoring damaged areas; chaining or clamping frames and sections to machines that use hydraulic pressure to align damaged components; and inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects. You also need to have knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services, including assessing customer needs, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluating customer satisfaction.
Education/Background
A high school diploma, plus some vocational training or job-related coursework, are required. Some previous work-related experience is a preferred. You must be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs, such as lifting, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
Job Requirements:
Must have some experience in the automotive repair field or equivalent technical training
Applicants must own their own tools
Valid driver’s license with the ability to obtain CDL with BPS endorsement within 90 days of employment
Must be able to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol test

Pay: $27.50 - $33.58 per hour
