Requisition Number22687LocationEducation AffiliatesJob DescriptionPosition Summary: Responsible for the general management of non-accredited commercial driving business development and programs within Education Affiliates. Working through the Regional Vice President and school Presidents, ensures that day-to-day business development and general management of assigned responsibilities are executed in adherence to policies and procedures. Responsible for meeting quarterly, annual, and strategic business plans. Consults closely with management and functional leaders to assure that corporate initiatives are implemented and managed appropriately.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Directly supervise the Campus Presidents of non-accredited commercial driving schools as well as indirect management of industrial business development personnel at commercial driving campuses. Approves quarterly, annual, and long-range business plans for each assigned school, and submits for review and approval. Achieves fiscal and operating objectives, as well as develops the strategic objectives for the Commercial Driving operations.Provide oversight and leadership in the achievement of the non-accredited commercial driving for both business development and operations. Directly supervise fleet manager/DOT Compliance Administrator. Focusing on FMCSA compliance regulations regarding Commercial Driving Operations (ELDT, D&A Program, Fleet Management), Fleet purchasing, efficient fleet management & Vehicle registration. Initiates and conducts negotiations with businesses, agencies, community colleges and government contractors for system wide commercial driving business development opportunities. Collaborates with functional leadership to allocate resources and maintain an understanding of critical issues and solutions.Work Hours: Forty per week but may vary daily, and some evening and weekend hours may be required.RequirementsSkills/Competencies/Qualifications: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree. At least 5 year's progressively responsible leadership experience within career education. Business acumen and prior direct business development and P & L responsibility. Ability to successfully lead and interact with individuals from a variety of settings including: business; academia; financial services; and regulatory agencies. Understanding of commercial driving school regulations (ELDT & D&A Clearinghouse) Effective communication skills that lead others toward actions that result in achievement of goals.
