Job Description

We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic faculty member to teach Medical Assisting classes in our Medical Assisting program. This is a part-time professional position reporting directly to the Program Director. The primary responsibility will be to teach Medical Assisting courses. The typical teaching load is two courses each term. Applicants will also be expected to provide academic advising to students, assist the program director and participate in department training, meetings and graduation.

Location: Fortis Institute - Scranton

Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 6pm to 8:30pm

Requirements

• RMA, CMA, and/or CMAA Certification
• Medical Assistant Certificate of Completion or Diploma required, Degree Preferred
• At least 3 years of experience performing duties as an MA
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Highly organized, motivated and results driven
• Prior teaching experience preferred but not required

Pay: $21/hr

Job Type: Part-time
