    About the Position
    The CTE Industry Partnership and Career Connected Learning Coordinator is responsible for recruiting, training, and coordinating regional Industry Partners, as well as supporting the design and implementation of a comprehensive Career Connected Learning program as part of the district’s Career and Technical Education department program and team.

    Required Qualifications
    Education and Experience:
      High school diploma, or recognized equivalent; and
      Associates Degree in a relevant field, or its equivalent *; and
      At least 2 years of work experience involving developing and sustaining industry-related partnerships, as well as designing and coordinating Career Connected Learning programs including internships, job shadows, worksite tours, employer presentations and mentorships.
      • Two (2) years of college-level credits (60 semester credit hours or 90 quarter credit hours) may be substituted for the educational requirement.
    * Per Governor Jay Inslee's proclamation, all school district employees must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or have an approved medical or religious exemption. All new hires will be required to provide verification of vaccination or be eligible for an exemption, as a condition of employment.
    Licenses/Special Requirements: Must have a valid driver’s license. Must have a reliable method of transportation.
    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
    Knowledge and familiarity with Washington State Worksite Learning laws, procedures, and requirements.
    Knowledge of post-high school college and career development programs.
    Knowledge of job placement, employability, and retention skills.
    Knowledge of current labor market issues and relevant employment information.
    Knowledge of local businesses and community organizations.
    Knowledge of methods of vocational and career assessment.
    Knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and technological devices.
    Knowledge of Windows-based software, Google-based software, and Apple-based software.
    Knowledge of designing, implementing, and delivering training/professional development programs.
    Skill in communicating effectively in both oral and written forms.
    Skill in public speaking/presenting to a variety of audiences.
    Skill in operating office machines and equipment including, but not limited to copiers, computers, laptops, and calculators.
    Ability to communicate effectively, in person, on the telephone, and via email with students, staff, parents, community representatives and the general public using tact, courtesy, and good judgment.
    Ability to work collaboratively and effectively as a member of a team with other District staff.
    Ability to operate a personal computer and quickly learn software applications.
    Ability to work effectively with high school age students.
    Ability to plan and organize materials and activities to effectively support programs.
    Ability to set daily work priorities and accomplish tasks in a timely manner.
    Ability to create and deliver effective oral presentations.
    Ability to work with minimal supervision to meet program needs.
    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
    Recent work experience preferred - involving developing and sustaining industry-related partnerships, as well as designing and coordinating Career Connected Learning programs including internships, job shadows, worksite tours, employer presentations and mentorships.
    2021-22 Professional-Technical Salary Schedule Level 6: $31.85 per hour
      Contract Status: Continuing
      Work Days Per Year: 215 Day Calendar
      Shift details: 8 Hours per Day; in person
      FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
    Benefits:
    Our benefits package includes Washington state health insurance coverage (SEBB) and a Washington state retirement package for eligible positions. Eligibility for health insurance at the time of hire is determined by holding at least a .5 FTE continuing contract position, or being hired into a non-continuing position that is anticipated to reach 630 hours during the school year. Eligibility for retirement at the time of hire is determined by holding at least a .6 FTE contract (continuing or non-continuing).
