EDMOND PUBLIC SCHOOLS is Hiring a Summer School Principal - Cheyenne MS Near Oklahoma, OK

Middle School Summer School Principal. Cheyenne Middle School. (1/14/2022 New Position). Administrator-0503, 0504 or 0505. Begins June 6 – June 30, Mon-Thurs. Application deadline 2/14/2021 or until filled. 

Job Goal: To use leadership, supervisory, and administrative skills so as to promote the educational development of each student. 
Length of Contract: June 2022
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Manages employees in the high school. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Edmond Public Schools’ policies and applicable laws and procedures. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing job tasks; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. 
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Masters Degree. Five years experience as a classroom teacher preferred. Previous experience in a leadership position at the district/state level is preferred. 
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Valid teaching certificate and valid secondary administrator certificate. 
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups, staff, parents, and the general public. 
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to plan budgets and use the mathematical skills required to do so. Maintain accurate records and support documentation for projects under the supervision of the position. 
REASONABLE ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. 
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Page 2 of 3 Ability to use computer and computer related programs and other technologies needed to perform essential job functions. Ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, and the community. Ability to organize and chair or facilitate committees and meetings. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and written form. Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies.
