Edison School of the Arts is a free public K-8 Performing Arts and Arts Integration School that serves the city of Indianapolis. We currently have approximately 600 students and are located just across White River from Lucas Oil Stadium.
Position Description:
Edison School of the Arts is currently looking for a full time dance teacher to teach a variety of dance classes to students in grades K - 8. The role of the dance teacher is to provide engaging and excellent instruction of technique in the styles of ballet, jazz, contemporary and hip-hop etc., as well as, incorporate the elements of creative movement in all daily instructional classes. This position requires a strong background in choreography, and the ability to create dances for all levels of dancers. Edison School of the Arts has a large arts department, where each member of the arts team must be dependable and capable of meeting communicated deadlines, as well as, be flexible and work together as a team. Many performances are required in the evening and during the school day.
Education & Qualifications:
Strongly recommend a Bachelor's Degree in Dance Performance or Dance Education
