General Summary:
The Group Facilitator position is responsible for connecting with Group Climbing Event participants and to deliver a safe and fun event. The Group Facilitator is a group’s guide to the gym. If a client wants to boulder, the Group Facilitator helps them understand the rules, etiquette, and some basic movement. If they want to rope climb, the Group Facilitator harnesses them up and belays for them. The Group Facilitator works with a variety of age ranges and often provides new climbers with their first experience on a climbing wall.
The Group Facilitator may also have opportunities to grow within the company. Edgeworks prides itself on hiring from within and there may be opportunities to be trained in a number of paths, including Front Desk, Youth and/or Adult Instruction, and even guiding. The Group Facilitator reports directly to the Climbing School Manager.
