Edgewood Center for Children and Families is Hiring an On-Call Facilities Technician Near San Francisco, CA
NOTE: The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) has issued new requirements for health care and congregant care facilities to decrease the risk of COVID-19 outbreaks. Based on the CDPH public health mandate, all candidates for positions at Edgewood Center must provide proof of vaccination. Edgewood Center will consider applicants with ADA and Title VII exemptions on a case-by-case basis.
Mission Statement: Edgewood is the place to begin for any child or youth to get the mental health care, social services, and academic support they need from highly trained, welcoming professionals.
On-Call Facilities Technician -this is an on-call, per-diem and non-exempt position.
Essential Functions
- Assist Facilities Techs II and III with special projects i.e.: moving furniture, minor repairs, replacing light bulbs, setting up conference rooms and the gym for special events, delivering packages to staff and other facilities duties.
- Sweep the porches and sideways of all the buildings on campus
- Power wash if necessary, power wash compost bins if necessary.
- Daily inspections of the entire campus. Walk around the entire campus - outside the fences too. Remove litter and debris.
- Assist with watering areas on campus.
- Adhere to all agency safety policies and procedures.
- Sensitivity to the cultural diversity of employees and clients required.
- Miscellaneous facilities duties as assigned.
Applied Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- One (1) year minimum experience in the following related skill levels:
- Landscape maintenance
- Painting
- Minor repairs
- Good communication skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid California State Driver's license
The hourly rate range for this position is: $21.00-$23.00
