Edgewater is seeking qualified candidates for a Waste Project & Operations Records Management Support Services opportunity for our customer in Richland, WA to support the Hanford Site Central Plateau Cleanup Company (CPCCo).

Part Time, Fully Remote Position

DESCRIPTION OF WORK - GENERAL

Seeking records management specialists CPCCO’s Waste Project and Operations records management process. The specialists are needed to support CPCCo with processing of treatment, storage, and disposal and associated records to comply with requirements identified in the Washington Administrative Code (WAC) and the Washington Department of Ecology issued Agreed Order.

It is expected that the services shall be performed on a part-time basis during regular-work hours, at a remote/off-site work location as approved by the Buyer’s Technical Representative (BTR).

Contractor employee(s) shall be responsible for independently planning, organizing and performing a wide variety of non-hazardous specialized administrative/technical duties in support of the successful completion of goals and deliverables and in accordance with all provisions of the contract.

The Contractor shall have access to CPCCo business sensitive information via CPCCo’s internal document management system. CPCCo will identify or specify site specific documents, data or other information that is to be included in the Contractor’s overall technical support. Hanford Local Area Network (HLAN) access for the purposes of retrieving/accessing CPCCo procedures and documents is required.

Job Description

The Records Management Specialists shall utilize knowledge which includes electronic records management. Electronic records management may include addition and/or verification of metadata, transmission of records to Hanford Mission Integration Services (HMIS), and record location identification.

The work scope for this activity includes the resources, material and/or equipment necessary to support and accomplish the following CPCCo activities:

  • Assist in processing of daily operating records for WP&O and CPCCo records. It is estimated that the total number of records to be processed is 400 per week.
  • Develop or update 30 (average of 4 hours each) records management desktop instructions associated with WP&O and CPCCo procedures and records processing.
  • Provide oversight of historical records processing (40 filing cabinets) to support the move from hardcopy to electronic records.
  • Provide 250 hours of training for three incoming Records Management Specialist personnel on WP&O and CPCCo records management processes.

Work Location / Access Requirements (if applicable)

Technical and administrative support activities shall be conducted at a BTR approved remote work location. Remote work should be scheduled and approved in advance by the BTR.

Training and Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of electronic records processing of the following record types:
    • RCRA treatment, storage, and disposal facility operating records
    • Hazardous Waste and Transportation Services shipment records
    • Transuranic (TRU) waste retrieval
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working within the Integrated Document Management System (IDMS)

Site Access and Work Hours

CPCCo’s normal work week is performed on a 4 x 10 schedule between 6:00 AM and 4:30 PM.

No work occurs on the non-working Fridays. Contractor deliverables shall consider CPCCo’s work schedule when performing part-time services. If a schedule alternative is required, BTR will communicate to the contractor’s contact.
