Edgewater is seeking qualified candidates for a Waste Characterization Training Specialist opportunity for our customer in Aiken, SC to support the Savannah River Site.
Waste Characterization Training Specialist
The purpose of this task is to provide Savannah River Nuclear Solutions (SRNS)
with the knowledge, background, and experience to present requested Waste
Characterization Courses at the Savannah River Site.
The SRNS Training group supports the Radioactive Waste Characterization Course (ZGBITM02) that teaches appropriate personnel various characterization methodologies for radioactive waste.” Additional support shall be needed for Hazardous Waste & PCB Waste Characterization (ZGBITM01) which has the same target audience as the ZGBITM01 but is specific to RCRA and PCB waste characterization, waste sampling, Lab Packs and signing waste characterization documents destined for Treatment, Storage or Disposal facility (TSD).
Seeking a trainer that understands the flow down requirements within SRS 1S Chapter 3, Waste Characterization Program to train waste generating officials how to characterize radioactive, hazardous, and PCB waste per the procedure.
Course material will include:
Performance of work shall be in accordance with the DOE Orders and Standards:
Personnel performing this task shall have a minimum of ten (10) years of experience with all aspects of Training for high hazard and complex facilities to DOE O 426.2 requirements and minimum of ten (10) years of experience with establishing, implementing and the performance of oversight of, training requirements, including three (3) years of such experience at a DOE Facility.
