Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Structural Designer opportunity to support an Engineering, Procurement, Construction (EPC) project.
Work Location: Greenville, SC
Structural Designer (Senior)-
The Senior Structural Designer may serve as a Design Area Lead and will work on design and perform 3D layout of moderate to a complex, advanced scope.
Job Duties:

• Review drawings and documentation for compliance with project requirements and seek any resolutions to discrepancies.
• Adhere to codes and standards (including DOE Orders) as well as department practices and procedures.
• Develop and execute computer-aided 3D modeling of structures of advanced complexity.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• A minimum of an accredited two (2) year degree in a technical field of study.
• A minimum of ten (10) years' progressive experience in design and drafting related to Engineering and Construction (nuclear preferred).

Responsibilities:

• Read, interpret, and generate design drawings with minimal input from a member of the engineering staff.
• Possess knowledge and skills in the development of structural framing plans, sections and details for manufacturing structures, floor framing, roof framing, and façade system framing.

Job Requirements:

• Strong 3D modeling and drawing extraction skills utilizing both Revit and S3D software.
• Knowledge of commercial availability and cost of materials.
• Must have the ability to walk-down field systems with minimal guidance, interpret field direction, generate minor design details, create new drawings, modify existing drawings, and direct junior drafters.
• Must Be A US Citizen
