Edgewater Technical Associates is Hiring a Nuclear Criticality Safety Programs Near Aiken, SC

Edgewater is seeking qualified candidates for a Nuclear Criticality Safety Programs opportunity for our customer in Aiken, SC to support the Savannah River Site.

Nuclear Criticality Safety Programs

Personnel performing this task shall have a minimum of ten (10) years of experience with all aspects of Nuclear Safety in high hazard and complex facilities to DOE 0 420.1 C and 10 CFR 830 requirements and a minimum of ten (10) years of experience with establishing, implementing and the performance of oversight of, Nuclear Criticality Safety requirements, including five (5) years of such experience at a DOE facility.

Function includes:

  • Identify weaknesses of a lack of integration or difficulties in support organizations assisting operations.
  • Integrate with the support organization and operations to ensure a quality product is developed and delivered to Operations in order for Operations to execute the mission scope.
  • Team size will be dependent upon the size of the project, facility(s) or organization being supported
  • Work closely with the Safety Basis Group to assist in developing requirements that are more in line with operations and ensure Technical Specification Requirements (TSRs) are adequately implemented.
  • Work with Training to ensure adequate qualification of operations personnel and ensure continuing training is effective and develop training staff and operations supervision with advanced continuous training.
  • Work with procedures to ensure appropriate quality of procedures, appropriate implementation of design basis and key requirements and ensure procedures are workable and followed in the field.
  • Provide oversight of field activities identifying deficiencies and leading the methods to correct those deficiencies.
  • Prepare and participate in readiness reviews.
  • Provide disciplined operations principles to support and project activities.
