Position Title: Internal Dosimetry Training Support Services
JOB DESCRIPTION
The purpose of this position is to provide support to National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Capital Projects in the areas of operations and maintenance support associated with the Savannah River Site (SRS). This support is in the form of administrative and technical expertise for the planning and execution of maintenance and work control activities. Safety is a primary responsibility for all employees working on and off SRS. Subcontractor shall obtain safety training, obey safety rules, and make safety an integral part of each task.
Subcontractor shall be responsible for providing program support to Savannah River Nuclear Site (SRNS) NNSA Capital Projects organization for: the SRPPF Operations and Maintenance process. The subcontractor shall assist in the development of a Plutonium Technician position, integrating the Operational staffing needs with that of Maintenance requirements. Evaluate the existing Conduct of Operations Manual (2S) as well as Conduct of Maintenance Manual (1Y) and generate proposed revised concepts and procedures that are conducive to actual Savannah River Plutonium Processing Facility (SRPPF) operational needs. This will include providing interface between the NNSA Capital Projects organization and all programs requiring coordination and on-going support.
DUTIES
Subcontractor duties shall include but not be limited to the following:

  • Provide direction and assist in the development and organizational structures for Operations, Maintenance, and Work Control organizations that fully supports a rotating shift structure
  • Implement planning strategies for effective execution of Operations and Maintenance activities
  • Generate operational and maintenance inputs into the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System Specification
  • Develop proposed strategies for the planning and execution of maintenance and work control activities
  • Serve as program interface with Executive Team and Senior Management Team.
  • Benchmark Operational, Maintenance, and Work Control Programs and identify key attributes for implementation in support of SRPPF
  • Infuse Engineering Design and Configuration Management into Work Package Development and Work Management Flow requirements
Personnel shall be responsible for the management and execution of assigned programs/projects in accordance with the requirements of SRNS, and the operating policies and principles. The Subcontractor is accountable for the execution of the work in accordance with the quality standards and required specifications for the project.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
  • Demonstrates a minimum of 15 years of experience in maintenance, and outage activities at a facility licensed for handling radioactive materials.
  • Demonstrates a minimum of 5 years of experience working at a DOE facility
  • Proven experience in compliance and implementation of Conduct of Operations as well as Conduct of Maintenance
  • Proficiency in the requirements and implementation of Radiological Controls in radiological working environments
  • Demonstrates understanding of Training and Qualification of operations and maintenance personnel in accordance with approved Training and Qualification Programs
  • Experience meeting DOE Order 413.3B line-item project requirements for engineering organizations (or equivalent commercial nuclear facility experience)

Work Hours:
Work schedule will be a nominal 40-hour work week but can be part-time or with interruption between on-site requirements dependent on the support requirements necessary for the project. It is estimated that each standard year will consist of two-thousand and eighty hours.
Area Security Access:
An active DOE clearance is not initially required to perform assigned duties. Subcontract personnel must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DOE "Q" security clearance. After award, the selected uncleared candidate may be required to apply for a DOE clearance.
