Middle School Principal
The Eden Prairie School District is seeking applicants for Middle School Principal. Eden Prairie Middle School has a staff of over 186 that serves approximately 1900 students. The ideal leader must be able to provide educational leadership focused on the district mission. Eden Prairie is a school district with approximately 1,400 employees serving 8,600 students. The district is recognized for its quality initiatives and its leadership in educational programming.
Position requirements:

Current Minnesota principal’s license.
3-5 years of successful experience in public school administration and/or supervision
3-5 years minimum experience as an educator

Qualifications:

Experienced and confident leader to guide and manage staff in an inclusive and open environment.
Proficient, accessible and welcoming communicator who keeps in touch with staff both verbally and in written form.
Innovative and energetic leader who is comfortable working in a large, diverse school environment.
Strong ability and willingness to work with a diverse student and parent population.
Effective listener.
Proficient coaching, consensus and conflict resolution skills.
Accountable and responsible leader with experience in giving clear directions to staff, making effective decisions and has strong follow-through skills.
Technological expertise in supporting the high school improvement needs.
Previous experience in the areas of curriculum development and evaluation, personnel development and evaluation.
Advanced coursework in areas pertaining to skills and content of the principalship.
Knowledge and experience regarding current issues in large school management.
Skilled communicator and systems thinker who possesses interpersonal skills to work effectively with staff, parents and community.

Position reports to:

Associate Superintendent

Starting Salary:

Highly competitive based on education and experience.
