We are seeking a skilled Electrical Drafter for an important firm.

In this role, you will engage in the designing, developing, and implementing of cutting-edge electrical systems for state-of-the-art industrial and high-tech manufacturing facilities serving global leaders in technology. As an Electrical drafter, you will have a foundation in electrical design, focusing on low to medium voltage environments.

The ideal candidate possesses experience with distribution panel loading, short circuit analysis, voltage drop calculations, conduit and conductor sizing, and cable tray fills. This position is an onsite role that will require you to work onsite each day and be located in the N. Phoenix, AZ area. Remote or hybrid work arrangements for this role are not available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate comprehensive technical project plans, specifications, drawings, and models aligned with both industry standards and client requirements.
  • Determine conduit, conductor, and wire sizing, meticulously accounting for current loads and environmental variables.
  • Ensure all electrical designs strictly adhere to pertinent local, state, and national electrical codes and regulations.
  • Apply established design techniques and exercises discernment in adapting and modifying design concepts as needed. Uphold quality control by adhering to company and team design and CAD standards.
  • Will work with other Designers, Sr. Engineers, Project Managers, and other stakeholders on specific assigned objectives, complex features, and aid in deriving possible solutions to unusual problems.

Benefit Details:

  • Salary Range: $50,000 - $100,000/year depending on location, education, experience, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required. An Associate degree in engineering or architectural fields is preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in AutoCAD is required. Experience with other tools such as Revit, ETAP, SKM PowerTools, and/or EasyPower is a plus.
  • Knowledge of electrical codes and standards (e.g., National Electric Code, NFPA, etc.).
  • Salary Range: $50,000 - $100,000/year depending on location, education, experience, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
