We are seeking Residential Summer Camp Counselors to work with children (ages 11 to 21) with autism as they attend summer camp in a safe and enriching environment! You’ll be assisting campers to achieve IEP goals while engaging them in structured activities such as swimming, arts and crafts, music and movement, and local day trips.
This position runs only during the summer – from the end of June through mid-August. We run a residential (sleep-away camp) program – our campers require supervision 24 hours, 7 days a week. Nights and weekends are required of all staff, and we work a rotating shift.
The Residential Camp Counselor earns $5,000 for 7 weeks of full-time work.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Under direct supervision of Certified Teachers, the Residential Camp Counselor provides focused attention to camper(s) during individual and group activities. Duties include the following:
