Edelbrock Group is Hiring a Water Spider Near Branch, MS

Edelbrock has been an iconic name in the performance aftermarket for nearly 90 years. Products are designed, engineered and tested using the latest manufacturing processes at facilities across the United States to ensure premier performance.

Hours are from 7:00a-4:00p.

A Water Spider plays a critical role in facilitating the smooth operation of the packaging process by ensuring that materials and supplies are readily available at the point of use. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to supporting production efficiency

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Material Management:

· Coordinate with the packaging team to understand material requirements for various workstations.

· Ensure timely delivery and replenishment of materials to designated work areas based on production schedules.

· Monitor inventory levels and initiate replenishment orders to maintain optimal stock levels.

2. Workflow Support:

· Collaborate closely with packaging associates to anticipate material needs and prevent disruptions.

· Facilitate the movement of materials and supplies between storage areas and production lines.

· Organize and maintain material staging areas for easy access and efficient use of space.

3. Quality Assurance:

· Conduct visual inspections of incoming materials for quality and compliance with specifications.

· Identify and report any issues related to material quality or supply chain disruptions.

4. Continuous Improvement:

· Actively participate in lean manufacturing initiatives to optimize processes and eliminate waste.

· Recommend and implement improvements to material flow and handling practices.

5. Safety and Compliance:

· Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

· Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures related to material handling and inventory management.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.

· Proven experience in a packaging environment, preferably in a role involving material handling or logistics.

· Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.

· Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and precision in handling materials.

· Effective communication skills to interact with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.

· Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and practices is desirable.

· Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Physical Requirements:

This role may involve standing, walking, lifting, and carrying objects weighing up to a certain amount (e.g., 50 pounds). Individual should be able to perform physical tasks associated with material handling.
