ESUMMARY

We are currently looking to hire a Parts Delivery Driver for our Toyota location. This position will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of parts to our professional customers. They are also responsible for the cleanliness and standard maintenance of company delivery vehicles. These team members will also provide a high level of customer service by communicating problems or special requests from customers to Parts manager.

COMPENSATION AND SCHEDULING

• $14 per hour

• Monday – Friday Saturdays as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Excellent customer service skills

• 1-2 years of automotive parts experience required, either from a retail parts outlet or dealership

• Bi-lingual a plus

• Ability to learn and train in a fast-paced work environment

• Must be able to lift 50lbs frequently

• Valid DL

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Picks up and delivers parts and equipment to customers, wholesale accounts, and vendors.

• Checks with the parts manager, wholesale representative, inventory control administrator, parts counter people, or shipping and receiving clerk before leaving to coordinate any last-minute pick-ups or deliveries.

• Check with the body shop each day to determine immediate parts needs.

• Delivers parts to the body shop when needed and distributes to appropriate body technicians.

• Verifies that invoice matches purchase order for each pick-up.

• Checks payments received with the invoices for each delivery.

• Keeps an accurate log of daily deliveries and pick-ups. Requests recipient's signature on each delivery entry.

• Unloads truck each night. Turns in all paperwork and undelivered parts.

• Handles basic maintenance of the truck including filling the tank with gas, checking oil, keeping it clean and making sure required inspections are performed.

• Advises parts manager if delivery trucks need major repairs and maintenance.

• Helps maintain the professional appearance of the parts department.

• Helps with stocking and posting orders when they arrive to expedite delivery to shop technicians and wholesale accounts.

• Maintains professional appearance.

• Other tasks as assigned.

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
