About ECU Health SurgiCenter
ECU Health SurgiCenter is a freestanding facility with a multi-specialty staff of approximately 200 physicians, all guided by a single goal: to provide quality outpatient surgical care in a patient- and family-centered environment. Performing more than 12,000 outpatient surgical procedures a year, the facility offers a convenient-and clinically excellent-alternative to inpatient hospitalization for a wide range of surgical procedures. Outpatient procedures are performed in eight modern, well-equipped suites by surgeons specializing in dental and oral surgery, orthopedics, gastroenterology, general and plastic surgery, gynecology, podiatry, neurosurgery, urology and more.
Position Summary
The Perioperative Supervisor holds a position of line authority. Under the direction of the Dir, Patient Care Services the perioperative supervisor is delegated certain responsibilities and authority for managing a nursing unit and/or units. Among these responsibilities are coordinating, evaluating and improving nursing care. Through utilization of leadership skills, the Perioperative Supervisor assists the Assistant Nurse Manager in promoting safe, cost effective, quality patient care on a daily basis.
Minimum Requirements
Associate Degree or higher.
Five to seven years related experience
Licensure/Registration/Certification: License as a Registered Nurse, must maintain licensure with the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
