ECS is seeking a Systems Engineer to work in our Norfolk, VA office. Please Note: This position is contingent upon contract award.

Job Description:

ECS has an opportunity for a Systems Engineer (SE) to join our Norfolk, VA team.The SE shall have expert knowledge of all elements of System Development Life cycle including System Definition, Development, Design, Analysis & Control, Integration, and Testing. The SE shall be able to demonstrate strong problem solving and analytical skills, the ability to lead through ambiguity in a fast-paced environment, the ability to establish confidence and credibility with managers and senior level IT leaders, excellent communications skills, and foster open communications on teams.

As a Systems Engineer, you will play a vital role in guiding the System Development Life Cycle, ensuring the successful development, integration, and testing of systems. With your strong problem-solving skills, leadership abilities, and exceptional communication skills, you will excel in leading projects within a fast-paced environment.

Required Skills:

• B.S. Degree in engineering, math and/or science from an institution accredited by an organization recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) required.
• M.S. Degree of Science in an Engineering, Math or Computer Science discipline from an institution accredited by an organization recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) required or a minimum of eight (8) years of equivalent work experience in direct support of DOD system engineering including all elements of System Development Life cycle including System Definition, Development, Design, Analysis & Control, Integration, and Testing.
• MCP or MCSE with Hyper V Certification.
• DOD Directive 8140.03 Foundational Qualification for Advanced Systems Developer (632) or current equivalent in the case where the current DOD instruction becomes superseded by a new instruction.
• The SE shall have experience in the following areas:
  • Building automation and scripted configuration of MS Windows based environments.
  • Requirements Analysis
  • Functional Analysis & Allocation
  • Design Synthesis
  • Developmental Testing
  • Operational Testing
  • Conducting & Leading Technical Reviews
  • Inter-personal and leadership communication skills to carry out this assignment with the ability to lead and work as part of a team.
  • Hands on experience with Microsoft Hyper V
  • Microsoft Windows 10 LTSC
  • Microsoft Outlook and Office Suite
  • Microsoft Exchange and Server (2016)
  • Microsoft Exchange and Windows Server 2008 R2 (preferred)

Desired Skills:

• CISSP Certification
• Defense Acquisition University Level III Systems Engineering Certified
