ECS is seeking a Release Train Engineer to work in our Washington, DC office.

Job Description:

ECS is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Release Train Engineer to join our organization. We offer the chance to support the world’s finest law enforcement organization and help the people that keep us safe. In this job you will support agents, analysts, and professionals and technology they use to fight terrorism, espionage, cyber-attacks, and major criminal threats.

  • The RTE is a lean-agile leader and will also be responsible for promoting agile values including promoting systems thinking, supporting the teams’ and trains’ commitments, leading change, and leading by example.
  • Facilitates work for the Agile Release Train (ART) and is responsible for program execution, escalating impediments, managing risk, and helping drive continuous improvement for the ART.
  • Coordinates and executes the remote PI planning event, working with Product Managers, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Business Stakeholders, and Prometric’s other Agile Release Trains.
  • Tracks the execution of features and capabilities through metrics across the ART.
  • Provides senior level reporting on ART metrics and Program Increment progress and impediments.
  • Manages and optimizes the flow of value through the ART by facilitating ART level events and helping to manage risks and dependencies, escalating impediments as needed (Scrum of Scrums, ART sync, risk review meetings, etc.)
  • Facilitates system demos.
  • Coordinate cross-train/cross-functional dependencies and activities as needed to deliver value across multiple ARTs.

Required Skills:

  • 10 years of experience and a B.S. degree or degree in related field (Bachelor of Science (BS) can be substituted with an additional 4 years of related experience).
  • Must have a current Top-Secret Clearance with the capability of obtaining SCI / CI-Poly if needed to meet contract requirements.
  • 5 years leadership experience in related area (RTE, IT project management, or technical program management).
  • Excellent project/program delivery track record managing IT software delivery.
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal & written skills with the ability to communicate progress, impediments, and actions across large stakeholder groups.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Strong interest in relationship building across the organization.
  • Understanding and experience with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
  • Ability to use/create dashboards and metrics to communicate ART progress.
