We're searching for a Tier 3 NOC Engineer to join our dedicated cybersecurity team. This pivotal role places you at the forefront of our mission to safeguard our customers' networks and infrastructure from cyber threats.

As a Tier 3 NOC Engineer, you will play a crucial role in our Network Operations Center (NOC), where you'll monitor, analyze, and respond to security events and incidents. Your responsibilities will include real-time monitoring of security alerts, triaging incidents, and escalating issues as necessary to Tier 2 or Tier 3 support teams. You'll also contribute to incident documentation, reporting, and knowledge base management to ensure effective incident response and resolution.

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to work closely with experienced cybersecurity professionals, gaining hands-on experience in threat detection, analysis, and mitigation. You'll leverage cutting-edge technologies and tools to identify and address security threats, helping to strengthen our customers' security postures and resilience against cyber attacks.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented NOC Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring our customer's network infrastructure using their network management solution (Auvik), identifying network issues, performing triage, collect issue information, and escalating to the customer. Responsibilities will also include (through Auvik) assisting the customer with network device point release deployments.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all customer network devices in-scope are configured to monitor and alert 24x7x365, and that monitoring is working, devices reachable and diagnose/support diagnostics when devices unreachable.
  • Maintain the network monitoring platform with respect to managing the application, to include configuration for inventory monitored, reporting, dash boards, and access control.Manage and configure alerting via the customer network management platform.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of network protocols and technologies in the customer environment.
  • Document network issues and NOC service activity thoroughly and accurately via ServiceNow.
  • Monitor network performance and identify potential problems using network monitoring application.
  • Manage alert triage, information gathering of significant issues, and coordinate escalation to the customer.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders regarding network issues.
  • Address service requests with respect to the network management application.
  • Assist customer with network device point release deployments according to established procedures and via the network management application.
  • Document and maintain SOPs for troubleshooting and tune/customize to each customer’s networks as needed.

  • Possess the CCNA Certification.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in NOC operations
  • Experience with Cisco products (Catalyst and Nexus Switches, Integrated Services Routers, and wireless LAN Controllers)
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
  • Excellent written (SOP and Runbook delivery) and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to convey requirements to and work with the ServiceNow Dev team toward integration and automation respective to the NOC service.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking concepts.
  • Working knowledge of network management solutions, including ports, protocols recommended for devices, solutions for remote monitoring.

Desired Skills:

  • 5 years of experience in NOC operations.
  • Possess the CCNP certification.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) and automation frameworks to streamline operational tasks and improve efficiency.
  • Proficiency in advanced networking concepts such as SDN (Software-Defined Networking), SD-WAN (Software-Defined Wide Area Networking), and network virtualization.
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development to stay updated on the latest security threats, technologies, and best practices.
  • Ability to analyze large volumes of security data, identify trends, and provide insights to enhance security posture and incident response capabilities.
  • User level familiarity with AWS PagerDuty and ServiceNow.
  • Working experience with Auvik Network Management solution preferred
