Job Description:

ECS seeks a Combatant Command Integration Lead to support the development, integration and improvement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Cloud Solutions for a DoD Customer, with emphasis on the betterment of AI & human teaming in targeting workflows.

The candidate assists in managing a multi-faceted dynamic project at the leading edge of the operational AI initiative and serves as a deputy for the Project Manager who administers the portfolio. The candidate has experience successfully executing projects in a complex and uncertain environment. The candidate is proficient in the collection and curation of myriad information from various user bases to drive critical AI model improvements and UI workflow enhancements specifically to improve fires support and AI enabled mission command development.

The work is performed in a multidisciplinary team setting, with varying and competitive vendors in which the candidate’s management skills and tactful cooperation will be tested. The candidate will be liaison to several lines of effort from ECS managed programs delivering insights and revolutionary capabilities directly to the US Military customers and Operational Forces both CONUS and OCONUS. The ideal candidate is highly self-motivated and enthusiastic about implementing and developing new technologies where deadlines are important to national security and has the ability to travel occasionally in support of project activities both CONUS and OCONUS.

The candidate will contribute to a critical pathfinder program for the Department of Defense (DoD) that is changing how we gather and share intelligence.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic solutions for alignment of people and practices in the interest of the product’s or service’s end users.
  • Coordinate a diverse team of baseline users, technical, and subject matter experts in the execution of a variety of requirements supporting several projects delivering new and/or improved capabilities to the tactical edge.
  • Manage Cost, Schedule, Performance (Deliverables), Scope and Risk for several concurrent projects in the portfolio to deliver customer requirements.
  • Work directly with the Government team daily to define requirements, adjust to changing priorities, and adapt to strategic challenges that influence focus of effort. Have the skill and ability to quickly respond to change-over following a rigid plan.
  • Interface with support functions including contracts, procurement, legal, logistics, and HR to execute program and project activities.
  • Manage one or more subcontractors including preparing Statements of Work (SOW), conduct project Kickoff and TEM meetings, lead Weekly Status meetings and ensure the successful delivery of contract line item numbers (CLINs).
  • Lead and mentor project team members and coordinate with functional leads to acquire matrixed support to provide necessary skills to complete project tasks and work packages.
  • Serve as a collaborative leader to any direct reports via quarterly counseling, career progression, and tracking professional goals.
  • Prepare and deliver status reports for site activity regarding ongoing efforts, leadership engagements, and distinguished visitor events. Provide weekly project updates to the Government Program Manager and ECS management team.

Required Skills:

  • Must be a US Citizen per contract – Secret Clearance - With ability to obtain TS/SCI.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related subject.
  • 5 years project management or equivalent leadership experience.
  • Military service experience with a focus in intelligence workflow and fires support planning and exercises, with at least 1 year as a supervisor in a military intelligence related function.
  • Experience/proficiency with Information Management tools such as MS Office, MS Project, JIRA, TEAMs etc.
  • Demonstrated superior problem solving, communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to apply relationship management skills with senior level customers, to include c-suite executives, general officers, and SES types.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience as a member of a military command staff as a mid-grade officer, warrant officer or as a senior NCO.
  • Familiarity with intelligence community collection and fires support planning and exercises.
  • Master’s Degree in technical area or business/project management.
  • PMP or equivalent certification.
  • Experience developing and implementing leading edge technologies.
  • Experience working with Department of Defense (DoD) organizations or performers.
